The 2020 Rocket Mortgage Demo Day was reimaged to support entrepreneurs and the surrounding community during the pandemic, with over $1 million in funding for small businesses, expanded eligibility criteria, and more grants provided than ever before.

The field of more than 300 Detroit business owners who applied to pitch at Rocket Mortgage Detroit Demo Day was narrowed down to 17 finalists, who took the stage virtually at The State Savings Bank early in October 2020. Ultimately, the top 11 companies were chosen to receive top prizes and trophies by our panel of nationally-recognized entrepreneurs, but all finalists walked away with funding. Three People’s Choice Awards, with prizes totaling $75,000, were voted on by the audience through the Demo Day website.
